The service of the Fenton Rotary doesn’t end at the county limits. The Fenton Rotary extends its service overseas to those in need.

High in the northern Guatemala highlands, a village of 150 people lacked clean water. Each day, a family member, like this woman,  had to walk more than 6 hours to obtain water from this unclean spring.

When a member of the Fenton Rotary saw the deplorable conditions, he approached the club to provide funds.  The goal:   to build a prototype rain water collector, designed by a local missionary, which would provide a reliable source of clean water.  Working in combination with the Rotary Foundation, the funds were raised and the collector was built. The design proved to be very successful, and 16 other communities have since requested, and received, similar rain water collectors.
